# How do I extract Annotations into separate RTF files

I’m pretty sure there are more threads than this, but this is what my search found.

FWIW my preferred approach is to use the ($) app [Highlights](https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/highlights-pdf-reader-notes/id1498912833) (App Store link) which has a one click export of PDF annotations to a DevonThink folder of separate markdown files.
