When viewing in thumbnail mode, you can go to view/sort and then sort by various attributes which is great. Most apps have small icons at the top of the window so you can see how your data is currently being sorted. DT doesn’t seem to have this - how can you see how your data is being sorted, without having to revert back to that menu?
You have the Tag filter active. This is covering the Path and Information bars. You can temporarily disable the filter, check or change the Sort method, then reactivate the filter.
