No, this looks like a bug. If you can somehow recreate the situation, please file a bug report to bugs (at) devon-technologies.com.
As for the deletion of items on the device: This is on our to-do list for versions 1.x. There has to be left room for improvements

Everything is working as it should – after deleting DTTG from the iPhone and re-installing. Couldn’t reproduce the problem, sorry…
