How to exclude DT index from Spotlight

I just purchased DT Office and used it to create an archive of my emails. I do not want these archived emails to be returned in any Spotlight searches as the original emails remain intact and the DT archive is merely a backup. Is it possible to tell Spotlight (or DT) to not include the email DB in Spotlight searches?

Hi, Heather. Yes, if your email archive is a separate database, open it and choose File > Database Properties. Make sure the option, Create Spotlight Index is unchecked. That will do it. Spotlight will not be able to see or index your mail messages.
