How to Export a Markdown File with Outlinked Files in Order of Appearance?

I’m working with a markdown file that contains multiple outlinks (e.g., [[link]]). I want to export this file from DEVONthink along with the content of the outlinked files, arranged in the same order as they appear in the original file.

Is there a way to automate this process using DEVONthink’s built-in features, scripts, or any third-party tools? I’m looking for a solution that avoids manual copy-pasting and preserves the original order of outlinks.

Any tips or workflows would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you want the links to bring you to the referenced document inside DT, use Menu Bar > Tools > Item Links > Convert WikiLinks to Item Links.

Wikiinks are merely references to other documents. They don’t include the content of referenced documents. If you do want to include the content, use the transclusion syntax {{document name}}, not the wikilink syntax [[document name]].

I am really sorry for providing with a little missing information but have no idea if it is relevant or not but. I use obsidian and I indexed it into devonthink. I use md links

Obsidian has decided to use their own syntax. It is not a standard and you should bear things like that in mind.

If you do need transclusion, use {{…}} as @meowky mentioned.

Do the “export” from Obsidian then. Plenty of options from their plugin ecosystem.

Obsidian’s syntax ![[...]] is supported for quite a while too.

I have been using obsidian for a while now. None of the plugins gives what I wanted. Thats the reason I asked here.

Perhaps posting a sample might get you closer to what you want. Right now, we’re navigating a very foggy sea.

That, for example, doesn’t say anything at all. There are a ton of “md links”, eg WikiLinks, transclusions, the usual []() stuff…
