How to install & use the server option?


We have 3 powerbooks & apple extreme. I can attach a harddisc to airport extreme that can function as a server for all computers.

  • What steps must I take so that alle users/computers have access to the central database.

  • I asume I can install one version on 3 computers or do I need to upgrade?

  • Can I acces the database from the internet, when I am not at the office?
    If yes, how can I do this?

You cannot use the same database for different installations of DT that are accessing it at the same time, data corruption will result! There is no workaround for this!

You could run the server option in one of the installations if you run DTPO to allow search access to the other computers.
