How to keep deeplinks stable for indexed files in Devonthink?

Since I use deeplinks (item links) extensively to connect to a collection of externally indexed PDFs on Devonthink, I’m concerned about making these links as reliable as possible to avoid losing them. My workflow is simple: I create deeplinks in Obsidian that point to files indexed on Devonthink. According to the manual, moving or deleting an indexed file from its original location would break the deeplink. My question, then, is whether the deeplinks to indexed files would remain intact in the case of a restore from a backup (via TimeMachine or Arq, as recommended) after a new installation of MacOS. I’m asking because I’m confident there’s no issue with internal files, but with indexed files, I have some doubts since they are independent, external files.

Based on simple testing of moving an file out of an indexed folder then back again, the item link should not be preserved. This is easily checked in your environment.

Development would have to assess the behavior and any changes.
