How to prevent a particular group from syncing?

I’ve a database for my notes which are all just text files. In this database is a group containing the source material which could contain any kind of files and may become quite large in size with time. I’m using iCloud to sync this database on my MacBook with my iPad.

I do not need the source material group on my iPad. Since I’m on the free tier of iCloud, I’d prefer the aforementioned group to not be uploaded to it. But I still want to have this group in my database so the AI includes it in whatever magic it does.

Is there a way I could let everything except this group to be uploaded to iCloud for syncing?

No, it is not possible to sync a partial database.

If I make a separate database just for the source material, is there a way to tell the AI to consider that database with the main database for its analysis?

One more thing, does See Also work with closed databases as well?

No. Only open databases are considered.
