How to tell if database is too big

Ever since I switched to DT3, I’ve been getting the beachball for about 2 - 5 seconds extremely frequently. It happens now about every third time I switch to a new folder, select a new file, or try to do anything in DT. I’m not sure if the issue is with DT3 or if my database is too large. How can I tell if my database is too large? How big should DT3 be able to handle?

Could you please launch Apple’s Activity Monitor application (see Applications > Utilities), choose the beach balling DEVONthink 3 in the list of processes, select the menu item View > Sample Process and send the result to cgrunenberg - at - devon-technologies.com? Thanks in advance!

Finally, is the See Also & Classify or Concordance inspector visible?

The See Also & Classify and Concordance inspectors are not visible. I think I might have just solved it actually. I removed two relatively large dropbox sync folders from my computer that I was indexing on DT3, and since then, the beachball hasn’t been an issue. Hopefully that will solve it. Thanks anyway!

A sample would be great if this should happen again, thanks.
