How to turn off desktop drawer?

Hi folks,
How do I turn off that drawer thingy that pops up when I mouse over it.

It’s also not movable-- which is very un-mac-like.
As you can imagine, if you are doing a lot of work in Photoshop or similar apps were that left side of screen is a sacrosanct menu area, this popup can be very annoying.

Thanks,
Jim

Check this thread.

And: here.

Also note that the Sorter tab can be moved from the left side of the screen to the right side. Just “grab” the tab with the cursor and “swoop” it upwards and to the right. Position it vertically anywhere you like. Mine is positioned just above the bottom, on the right side of the screen.

Yikes! When I attempted to move it to the right hand side of my primary monitor, it snapped into the right hand side of my secondary monitor.

My MacBook Pro serves as the secondary monitor when it is connected to an Apple LED Cinema display.

I will leave the drawer on the left side for now. I’ve still yet to discover–due to my own failure to read enough about it–how to use this feature.
