Haven’t used Workspaces, but will look into it because cgrunenberg knows what he’s talking about!
But I’m confused about the difficulty of finding DT databases in Finder because my understanding is you can put them anywhere. I have them in Finder/Documents/Databases/DT so they are readily available, and a doubleclick opens them. I keep other types of databases, like Zotero, in that folder, as well.
And off-DT topic, somebody mentioned how deep in the system Photos files images. I don’t keep any images in Photos unless I want to see them on my phone, and I constantly winnow – most I export to an Images folder I created in Finder/Documents, organized into sub-folders by date, event, etc. with files renamed as needed. Easy to find an image and drag or copy it into any photo editing app, or click to open in Preview. I think of Photos as a holding tank, useful for immediate storage and simple edits suitable for sharing. Long term storage in Photos? Not for me. Also my Images folder gets backed up in Time Machine, by Backblaze, or if I want to, I can drag it into any external drive, so it’s easy to recover.
