I’m trying to identify indexed folders in my database as opposed to imported folders. I had looked to do it via a smart rule and change the tag colour but I can’t see a property that would identify an indexed folder. Is there one or some other way of doing this?

Just use the conditions…
- Item is Indexed
- Kind is Group
I have been looking for ages for some criteria regarding indexing and never noticed this option.
