Identifying PDF Documents Converted from EPUB

Dear Community,

I have the following use case and was wondering whether there might be a good way to approach it.

Some time ago, back when I was still using DEVONthink 3, I converted quite a large number of EPUB files to PDF using DEVONthink.

Since then, DEVONthink’s EPUB-to-PDF conversion has improved significantly, and I’d like to re-convert those older files to take advantage of the better output quality.

Is there any way to identify all PDFs that were originally created by converting EPUB files in DEVONthink? Ideally, I’d like to find the PDFs produced using the older conversion process so I know exactly which documents need to be converted again.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

There’s no metadata on the files indicating they were previously EPUB files. I’m assuming you didn’t keep the originals. If you have backups that go back far enough – pre-conversion – and cherry-pick the EPUB files.

I see, thanks! I guess, I’d have to go one-by-one and re-convert them on demand
