Hi, I keep my local syncstore on my Macbook Air, my 2023 iMac, my 2 iPads and 2 iPhones are synced with the Macbook Air. Needed to travel and brought my Macbook with me. When I returned home, DTPO on my iMac did not see the syncstore on the Macbook. They are on the same mesh wifi network, i restarted the router, restarted both machines, opened closed opened DTPO several time, but the iMac still cannot see the Macbook. Firewall is switched on, Devonthink is accessible for incoming connections, but com.devontechnologies.think3 can be found only on the iMac. Whenever I try to add the Devonthink.app to the firewall to allow connections, it is accepted then it disappears.
Hoping to solve the problem I deleted the previous link at the Settings/Sync option, hoping that a new link will appear but had no success - screenshot attached.
At the same time my iPads and iPhones are syncing without any problem on the same wifi network before and after my trip, even now…
You have to add the local sync store on your own to the Sync settings on all machines. In addition, the local sync store has to be located on a volume (usually a network volume) that is accessible by all machines. For more details see chapter In & Out > Sync of help.
The option to add the syncstore on Sync settings does not show up, everything is greyed out as you could see on the above screenshot… Both of them are on the same mesh network
You can double-click a sync store (.dtCloud file) to add it to your Sync settings. You will need to secondary-click the newly added sync location and enter the encryption key, if you were using one.
The option to add the syncstore on Sync settings does not show up, everything is greyed out as you could see on the above screenshot. On the Macbook I double-clicked on the file in Finder but the Macbook based was there before and after. iOS and iPadOS devices are syncing properly and they can see the store.
During previous installations and syncing I saw that the Macbook iMac sync was much-much faster than with iOS…
Should have been clearer I guess: The first screenshot is coming from the iMac and the second is from the Macbook Air. It is the iMac where the Macbook-based sync does not show up.
Should I report the bug for the iMac (probably) or for the Macbook?
