Import description text from iPhoto?

Is there anyway to import the text in the “Description” field of iPhoto into Devonthink along with the image?

This information can be exported from iPhoto when doing a file export, but I don’t know how else you can even view it without re-importing the JPEG file back into iPhoto.

I’m using iPhoto (Mac v8.1.2) to keep track of a bunch of technical photos, most of which have brief descriptions. If that could be imported into Devonthink, maybe into the “URL” field, it would be quite useful.

I’m currently using the personal edition of Devonthink but will probably upgrade to Pro, especially if I can figure out a way to do this.

The description field (and keywords) will import as part of the metadata, which is searchable in DEVONthink Pro. I don’t know if this metadata is available in the Personal edition or not.
