I have managed to crash devonthink every time no matter what I try while importingor indexing my PDF library (about 3500 PDFs or 16GB).
I get a crash on both of my computers, using DEVONthink Pro and Pro Office 2.0 and leopard 10.6.7.
Could there be one big file or a corrupted one that is causing the problem?
Me too. Most of my shorter pdfs are in dtp, but the longer ones are in a Finder folder which I have occasionally attempted to index, over the past 2 or 3 years, and it always causes a crash (or something, I don’t know… the application becomes unresponsive).
I’d be glad to hear if there’s a way around it.

You’ll want to submit crash reports to DEVON via their support ticket system for a couple of reasons-first, you’ll usually get a faster response as the tickets get priority and second, the forum has a lot of user-to-user interaction and no one likes to scroll through lengthly crash reports.
