Indexed folder: deleted files still in DT

I have an indexed folder in DT contaning PDFs. I deleted many of those files using the Finder. They are gone. But they still appear in DT. When clicking on them, DT says “missing file”.

How do I re-index the folder so that the deleted files don’t appear in DT anymore?

When the troublesome folder is active, Does Menu: File → Update Indexed Items do the trick?
