indexed items and sync store

Am I right that externally indexed items still get uploaded to the sync store? Assuming I am correct, is there any way to not do this?

I am syncing to box.com and couldn’t figure out why my sync databases were filling my storage. I think the indexed items are my answer

You can uncheck the item Synchronize content of indexed items in the Info for the Sync location.

thanks! Will unchecking that “purge” the sync store of the items?

No. You have to Clean the database or Location.
