indexing files of specific type from a folder - or excluding

Hi folks, a new devonthink pro office user here. I was wondering if it is possible to only index certain files - say all .pdf or .tex (so filter by extension), from a folder ?

Nope. All or nothing when it comes to indexing.

You can work around this (in a kludgy sort of way) by indexing the folder(s) and then relying on a Smart Group to find only the extensions you’re interested in.

Thank you for this tip Korm, it’s very useful. It may be somewhat kludgy, but is better than the system I currently use.
