Indexing quirks

Hello,

I am used to DTTG not hitting the most obvious results first, but this one struck me as being a major fail: searching for “resolve manual” and getting a PDF called “DaVinci Resolve Manual” in 6th position, after a “Arkham Horror Learn To Play”, is aggravating. This happens even if I enclose the query in quotes.

I regularly use keyword searches in desktop DT (“name:whatever tag:etc”), and I know I could do the same here. But why does a simple, no-nonsense search not list the most blatantly obvious result first?

Thank you.

You are right, the DaVinci Resolve Manual with the search words in the title should be ranked higher. In general, the ranking is provided by the SQLite FTS5 extension that we feed with the full text of the documents.
