"Insert quote" link at beginning of quote instead of end

I use back quote and insert quote in the annotation window when reviewing pdfs. The back quote is just a link to the relevant page of the pdf and allows me to copy/write something after it. When I use Back Quote, the pasted text takes on the font of the copied text, whereas in Insert quote the font seems to be much more consistently of one type, which I prefer.
The Insert Quote is always at the end of the quoted text. For my purposes I want the link to be at the beginning of the quote, thus at present I have to copy the link from the end and paste it at the beginning of the quote. This is an extra step.
This is obviously a minor issue, but one that I would like very much.
Thus not:

“Quote”
Link

But
Link “quote”
Thanks

No, this is not configurable at this time. Development would have to assess if this is a viable preference to allow.

A disappointing, but definitive, answer; however, is it something that one might reasonably expect to be implemented sometime in the foreseeable future?

While it’s not an unreasonable request, I can’t speak on behalf of development and we don’t give out public timeframes on releases.

An alternative, which seems to work, although I can’t do it from the mouse, but from the Edit menu, is to use Insert Back Link together with Paste and Match Style. That matches the pasted product to the default Annotation font. Works well.
I don’t suppose there is any simple way to get the mouse to provide P&MS instead of just Paste?

There are a variety of ways that Keyboard Maestro or BetterTouchTool can configure a mouse action to trigger keyboard shortcut.

Thanks. I will give it a try. I also found that TextSoap has a “remove styles” command that works well and is incorporated into Services. It requires an extra step or so and is done after the text is inserted into the Annotation window.
Your idea seems to suggest that I can just stick with the mouse and use a series of mouse clicks to trigger the command.
