Interesting bug

Erm, I now this is really an Apple issue, not a DT one, but something interesting happens when DT tries to render a PICT - it doesn’t, of course, but thereafter any other image (jpeg, png, etc) gets blurry, requiring a DT quit and reopen to fix.

Why is this happening?

It isn’t happening over here – .picts individually and in mixed company with .jpgs, .pngs, .tiffs, etc (i.e., in cover flow) render accurately in DEVONthink, and the other image types are not affected by the experience.

Perhaps the fuzzy images have small pixel dimensions and the zoom level is too high. Perhaps clearing the cache will fix the problem. Clearing system caches by doing a safe boot might be helpful.

Could you please send an example to cgrunenberg - at - devon-technologies.com? In addition, do you use Mac OS X 10.5.8, 10.6.x or a preview of Lion? Thanks!

OK, an update: Snow Leopard 10.6.7, DT 2.1.1

Click any .pict > subsequent images of the following types/extensions are blurry:

png (moderately blurry -but not all get blurry)
psd (all - badly)
pict

The following images do not get blurry:

jpeg/jpg
tiff

(some images pm emailed to cgrunenberg)

@korm - hope you’re not suggeting I do this every time I click a pict by accident
