Hi, the web server seems to be broken in 2.0pb8. Worked in 2.0pb7 except that http connections weren’t closed properly.
Currently, can use another Mac to access the DTPO server, but can’t use an iPhone (OS 3.1.2). The iPhone can see the database, but any file (PDF or text notes) don’t open for viewing. And the list of Groups opens very slowly, with many icons failing to load at all due to slowness.
Maybe a caching issue (your iPhone has kept an older version of the applet)?
Don’t know. How do I clear it then?
Still no luck. I’ve tried disabling the Mac’s firewall & restarting the Mac & iPhone. Same problem. Anyone else got it working?
Scrolling/push navigation is always slow due to the JavaScript performance of Mobile Safari. But PDFs are loading fine here and so do the icons. Do you access the web server from the Internet or on the WLAN?
Just over a wireless LAN. Was working fine in previous 2.0pb7, just not in 2.0pb8. iPhone & Mac OS versions haven’t been changed.
I just discovered the same problem, that is, I can’t access my DTPO Server from my iPhone any longer. Error message I receive is
"Cannot Open DEVONthink
DevonThink could not open the page because the server stopped responding
Close Retry"
After numerous attempts it still won’t respond. Please offer a suggestion. This feature is most helpful when away from the computer and access to data was important.
Thanks
Dennis
Hi, is there a solution to this yet? Or is it a recognised problem? I’m still having no luck. I’ve cleared the Safari cache & same problem persists. If I turn Javascript off, then I can access documents via the Search feature (only).
Hmm, I have just tried here and it works as expected. There seems to be a bug not correctly returning to the main view after adding a new note but apart from that all functionality seems to be as reliable as a web app can be.
Hmm. Okay. Thanks. That means a bug in my version. I’ll see what I can do with trashing preferences, etc.
