I realize DT 4.1 is out, but I am not in a position to renew my license just yet. Does anyone know if 4.0.2 is compatible with macOS 26? (I would not be so eager to upgrade macOS, but Apple Support has asked me to upgrade, to test if an SMB error I reported is fixed in the new version.)
If you have a license that works for 4.0.2, why wouldn’t it work for 4.1?
Starting with DEVONthink 4 we switch from a slow product cycle with large, feature-laden upgrades to a more flexible model. With the purchase of a software license you receive the app itself including one year of updates.
(from the Upgrader’s Guide)
Because 4.1 is a feature release, and I’d need to renew my license for that.
My year of updates expired after 4.0 came out.
Ah! I guess you bought a DT3 license more recently and it was automatically upgraded to DT4. I forgot about that option and was confused, sorry. I can’t help with any macOS 26 questions.
That understanding is correct.
From what I’m hearing, there are quite a few UI glitches in the initial Tahoe release. I’m going to let someone else discover them for me.
