Is it at all possible to link from MS Word to a pdf file in

I have tried to do it from several word processors with no luck!
What I really need is to link from Excell cells…
I must be missing something but could not find any info in the Forum. Thanks.

Copy the link via Edit > Copy Item Link, then paste it e.g. to TextEdit or any other application. Some use the right name, some not but the link should always work (assuming that the application supports links at all).
