Is it possible to sync databases across two OSX machines?

I’m looking to split out my databases between a family machine and a work laptop.

Is it possible to have the family machine as the main host (accessing the majority of the databases) and have it only share my work database with my work MBP?

Do I need to buy an additional license for that?

Our licenses explicitly come with two “seats”, each valid for one physical Mac. So you can install DEVONthink also both your Macs (family, work) and use the built-in sync to synchronize only your work database. The built-in help has more on the various ways databases can be synced (directly, via cloud services, etc.) and if you need more assistance, here’s the place.
