iCloud (CloudKit)
Invalid encryption key.
Is the encryption key. set on the CloudKit or is it part of the app specific password
Is there any way to get the data out.
It seems that even with this error I can see into the DT iOS database
How do I manage the CloudKit database
Storage on the Mac showing iCloud shows CloudKit at 500 Gb.
I would like to clean it up and start again
Invalid encryption key.

There is no “app specific password” for our apps. The encryption key is DEVONthink-specific and used to encrypt the sync data, not to connect to iCloud.

Your databases aren’t copied and stored in a sync location.

Were you previously syncing using an iCloud Legacy sync?
In your cross-post, see my instruction to open a support ticket.
Not sure I understand your comment
Where do I find the clean utility
First, see and read in the 3.9.7 version of the “DEVONthink Manual” on page 184 about the “Clean” tool in the Sync dialog box. Also in “Help” in the application.

Sync locations never contain databases, ever. They are just an internal means to keep databases in sync.

Well, sync stores contain some kind of database representation, otherwise importing databases from sync stores wouldn’t work. But the representation in the sync store is of course not identical to local databases. Not even close.
