I’m wondering if there is a way to say have a top level view that just lists all the notes in a database.
Make a Smart Group that looks like this:
The History view (Tools > History) is a flat file view of the database. Add the sortable Kind column to the view and one can sort by filetype.
A still better approach might be to create a smart group to display when opened all of your plain text and/or rich text files (depending on which filetype you use for notes).
As the late Senator Russell Long of Louisiana used to say, “There are more ways to kill a cat than by stuffing it with butter.” You could add a tag to your notes and pull them in that way. Or you could add an identifying word such as “Note” to the Names of your notes and do a Name search for them.
