(1) I’ve been noticing that selecting a word or words in pdf documents seems to be harder in DTTG 4 than in DTTG 3. For example, when I tap a word with my fingertip or apple pencil, the blue selector sometimes (but not always) doesn’t appear. When this happens, I try spam tapping the screen so that it zooms in and zooms out, and eventually, text can be selectable for some unknown reason.
(2) On a different but related note, when I select text, the selector sometimes (again not always) moves a bit, changing the scope of my selection, usually including or excluding the space or punctuation mark before or after a word. This seems to happen only in certain parts of text in a pdf, but not in other parts. When you select a text and see a glitch, you can reselect it and still see the same glitch.
I might be seeing more of these in heavier pdfs, but I also see it with a very light pdf of only a few megabytes (such as a pdf of a wikipedia article).
I don’t know if this can be reproduced on others’ iPad or iPhones. I’m using iPad Air (M2). The OS version is 26.1 and my DTTG 4 is up to date. I hope this is a bug that can be fixed.
