Item Link in Sheet Not Clickable to Item (and vice-versa)?

Hello. Unless I’m missing it, I can’t find a way to do this.
I created a sheet to list product information, but I want these line item rows to link to another document that has more information that isn’t suited for the table. I created an item link in one of the cells, but as far as I can tell that item isn’t clickable to my product document. And in the product document I dont see any link to my sheet. Am I missing something or is this by design?

p.s. also I find that my colums keep rearranging themselves and I often have to drag them back… is this what others find as well?

A screenshot of the setup of the sheet’s columns would be useful. In addition, do you use sheet or form view?

Clicking on the item link in sheet views while holding the Command key should open the item in a new tab. In case of form views revealing (if the column is an item link) or opening (if the column is a URL) is also possible.
