Keep getting files gone missing every few days from devonthink..how to try and debug this

Hi all

i have been plauged over the past few months with multiple files that have suddenly gone missing from my DEVONthink database and i cant put the finger on why this is happening

in example i added a payment confirmation pdf a few days ago and today when i verify the DB i see its missing

just after cleaning and valdiation all files 2 weeks ago i already have 30-40 of files gone..i did not delete anything or move anything around

what the proper way to retrace whats going on and try to debug this?

are these indexed files? where is your DTP4 database located? do you use any cloud service to sync? if yes, which one?

At least the file on the screenshot is indexed. Therefore the most likely reason is that it was renamed, moved or deleted (in the Finder or by another app). Or is the folder /Users/zeltak/actions maybe synchronized by third-party software?

Weren’t you using this action folder for import into DEVONthink?

thx guys yes i did have them in actions before (on the drive) but manually moved them in DEVONthink to other groups inside DEVONthink ie

it shows its physically in 00-99 skm > 10-19 life 13 home> 13.08 appliances (thats indeed where i moved it) but then the missing file shows the action folder? im confused

in any case thx to @BLUEFROG helped i moved to just using the DEVONthink from now on but still strange

Also completely unrelated but i switched to a new 5k monitor and there is no way i can read the log window as the font is so small!! anyway to enlarge the font there (and the documentation window)?

In your photo that file hasn’t been imported. It’s an indexed file. So it’s missing because it wasn’t imported and the original file has been moved or deleted I’m guessing.

The help viewer supports the menu items View > Zoom > Zoom In/Out, see also the same items in the toolbar.
