Keeping Image DB in sync with actual document folders?

I am using the image system for importing because it allows me to maintain integrity of document folders that are shared across OS platforms. Like for Windows users with no DTPO access.

Is there a way to keep the image DB in sync with what is added to the actual document folder, or does this have to be done manually? Basically, I’d like the DTPO db to be an image mirror of the actual file folder and stay current with its changes.

You could index the file folder (via File > Index or Command-Option-drag & drop) and update it every then and now (via File > Update Indexed Items).
