Hi all..
I recently got a new MacBook Air and now have two Mac’s (the other a mini). But when trying to get DT plugged into my Mini’s DT database it seems it’s not super happy licensing-wise. Right now I’ve got 3 apple devices – an iPhone (using DT To Go) and the two mac’s with my mini being the primary Mac. Do I need an additional license to have a 2nd Mac for my setup or ?
Also, are there changes in this area for DT 4 that might have an effect on my decision? (e.g. I’d rather not buy an additional license for DT3 that might not be needed with DT4..
Thanks in advance!
Welcome @ps23rick
So you now have three Macs or you’re replacing one and only will work with two?
Hi @BLUEFROG … I’ll actually only have the two mac’s – a Mac mini and MacBook Air (MBA). The Mac mini has a webdav server on it for sync’ing and I’d love the MBA to connect to that to get updates as needed.
You need to deactivate a seat then activate it on the new one.
On the new Mac…
- Log into your DEVONtechnologies customer account.
- Click the appropriate product in the
Your Licenses
section to display your licensing information.
- In the
Devices
section, press the Edit button.
- Press the encircled minus (-) button next to the device from which you want to remove the seat.
- Scroll to the top of the page and press the green Activate button.
Thanks.. I was able to get things going..
