Linking sound files to text or PDF files possible?

I have a number of sound files (midi/mp3). These sound files are also represented by music scores in separate documents.

Is there a way to link sound files to other kinds of files like these in DTPro?

Try this:

Go to the score document. Use Edit > Copy Item Link to copy a link to that item to the clipboard.

Go to the sound file. Use Tools > Show Info… and, in the URL field of the Info panel paste (CMD-V) the item link from the first step.

Then, when you have the sound file displayed the link to the score will appear in the URL bar above the sound file’s document window.

(You can also do the procedure in the other direction so that the link for the sound file is added to the URL field for the score document. Caveat: if one of these files has a URL – from the import source for example – this procedure will not work unless you care to overwrite the pre-existing URL.)
