DT 4.02 Sonoma
Links to Apple Notes work perfectly in Bear (Markdown), Apple Mail, Pages, etc but don’t work in DEVONthink which is a big pain in the neck for me. I hope that there is a solution.

thanks in advance for your time and help
Linking to Apple Notes from Devonthink 4.02 works for me. But I have to right-clink the link and choose “Open in Notes” from the popup menu in order to activate Notes and have it process its database to bring up the relevant note. I think clicking the link normally is the same as “Open in New Tab” (which is another option in the popup menu) and I doubt Devonthink could do that.

thank you very much for the workaround. DEVONthink opens links by double clicking without any problem usually, for example links to Bear notes. I find it tedious to have to use the context menu.
Interestingly, TextEdit does open a link to Notes directly.

I tested the following and all of them open Notes links directly to Notes: Textedit, Bear Notes, Apple Mail, Pages, Numbers, etc
Using the context menu to open a Note is too slow. I think that DEVONthink developers should look into this.
thank you for your comment
Too slow for what?
And how are you getting this URL scheme from Apple Notes?

Probably by creating a link from the note to itself in Notes and then copy/pasting that.
That’s the only way I found on the net. So, quite convoluted. Which does seem less relevant than having to use the current menu.
I use a Keyboard Maestro macro described here: Copy as Markdown Link - Macro Library - Keyboard Maestro Discourse. It works very well for me. There is a library of a set of MD link macros that know how to copy from different applications but it will select the appropriate one. I have it assigned to a keyboard shortcut and anytime I’m in one application displaying what I’m interested in, it will copy the markdown link to that item. Then I just paste normally into the other application and it creates the link.

yes, that’s exactly what I use. I have thousands of Keyboard Maestro macros, but that link does not work with Apple Notes (it works with everything else) and it works with everything else. I am grateful that @cgrunenberg will fix it.
