I am sorry if this has been answered before…
I am running macOS High Sierra and DEVONthink Pro, my main databases are stored on my documents folder but which is now in the cloud, which I believe is not recommended. How do I go about moving my databases to a more secure location and then synchronising it to a cloud based service? How do I make sure I don’t lose any files in the move?
Thanks for your help…
Imported files (DEVONthink’s default behavior) are copied into the database’s internal structure, so they travel with the database file.
- Quit DEVONthink.
- Make a new folder in your Home Directory.
- Drag and drop the .dtBase2 file(s) into the new directory.
- Double-click them to open them in DEVONthink.
Regarding Sync, it is covered in the manuals: devontechnologies.com/downlo … nuals.html.
Also, there are two Sync tutorials posted here: devontechnologies.com/suppor … rials.html
thanks for that- worked great!
