Location of files

I Intend go to IOS only route with DTTG in my iPad Pro and iPhone. When I add/import some file to DTTG in my devices, I assume that the file is only on the device, not in the Dropbox Sync folder where the sync location is. So, i need to make sure I have a iCloud backup of my device in order to not lose the files.

Is that right?

The file will be also uploaded to the sync store. However, sync stores aren’t recommended as the only backup.

DEVONthink To Go’s data store is backed up with the usual iCloud backup. Version 2.1.2 will allow to explicitly enable or disable this automatic backup.
