I have a single database using dropbox to sync between two computers. I am now getting a notification from dropbox in the upper right corner that a lockfile was updated. It comes up every 3 seconds or so. I have tried rebooting, resyncing etc with no luck. Thoughts?

Have you properly excluded Apps>DEVONthink from Dropbox’s Selective Sync Prefs?
I guess not. I’ve been using the sync since the beta version and have had no trouble until yesterday. How do you exclude an app?

You’ll want to deselect (uncheck) the Apps/DEVONthink folder on every system that’s using DEVONthink syncing.
