A question and a suggestion:

  1. When a document is marked as “locked” it can’t be edited, which is very useful. But what does locking a group do? The manual says “Check the checkbox to protect documents from being accidentally modified, or groups and documents from being accidently deleted.” But locking a group doesn’t stop me from deleting it.

  2. It would be nice to be able to optionally mark a group so that any items moved into that group are automatically locked. This would suit groups which are only used to archive reference articles which should never be modified.

Locked items can be moved to the trash but emptying the trash requires a confirmation.

How about the suggestion? Designated a group as a “locking” group, and then whenever an item gets assigned to that group it gets automatically locked?

That’s not yet possible but will be supported by a future release.
