Hello,

I hope this is appropriate use of this space. I’m asking here because I was introduced to ABBYY finereader through Devonthink.

I purchased ABBYY Finereader Pro as a stand-alone app to convert about 63,000 single-page .tiff documents to searchable PDF, but it pretty much doesn’t work without running Apple’s Automator. I was able to get as far as having it convert documents, within folders, but it dumps them all into an alternate folder after the conversion. I need the converted files returned to the original folder from whence they came. Any ideas?

DEVONthink uses only the FineReader engine, this is not identical to the stand-alone FineReader application. Abbyy’s support or forum might therefore be a better place in case that nobody should be able to help here.
