In past versions, I used command-/ to open the search window with the selected text already entered (see Bill’s Post ). I tried that recently and got nothing but the alert sound. I’m on DTPO 2.0 pb8. Is this shortcut gone now?
Command-/ is the shortcut assigned to ‘Lookup…’ in the Services menu. It still works for me with pb8 on Leopard, but I know that Snow Leopard has some hoops needed to enable shortcuts assigned to Service menu items.
Thanks Greg for pointing me in the right direction.
I’m using Snow Leopard 10.6.2 on an iMac Intel Core Duo (not a Core 2 Duo). From the services menu, I seem to be missing Append Plain/Rich Note, Lookup, and Summarize. I do have Capture Web Archive, Take Plain/Rich Note available (depending on my selections of course).
Anyone know how to get the missing services back?
Did you check System Preferences>Keyboard>Shortcuts>Services? Maybe the missing Services are still unchecked?
Johannes
That was it! Thank you! Thank you!
