"Losing" a file when moving from a DT inbox

When dragging a file out of a DT database inbox to a folder, I occasionally fail to actually drag it into the folder. In that case, the file disappears from the inbox and also from my folder structure. It doesn’t get deleted (because I can still search for it and find it), but it doesn’t show up anywhere. Where do these files go? Can I see the list of them? I’m worried that there are a few of these “lost” files floating around my DT databases.

The files are not lost-they are at the root level of the database. They will show up among the groups in a List view or you can locate them in the Three Pane view by clicking in the Group pane of that view below the list of groups. As a tip, you can always go to the location of a file from a search with Command-R, or from the menu Data>Reveal.
