Markdown documents: editing problem since release 4.02

I updated to 4.02 this morning. If I want to edit a markdown document and click into the cursor jumps to a different location. So editing the document is not possible. Is this a bug or did I something wrong in my configuration?

Which version of macOS do you use? A screenshot of Settings > Editing > Format would be useful.

I use MAcOS 15.5

Did you click on the margins or the text? A screenshot of the complete window would be also useful, thanks.

This is strange: I restarted the application and up to now the effect is gone.
So I clicked in the text and after a short time (app. a second) the curser jumped upwards in the file. If I srcolled down at a specific line the curster jumped upwards. Now I could jump with the curser up and down key between the two positions in the file. I took 2 screen shots of the file, uploaded in case it is of any help).
So even if the problem seems to be gone now after a restart of the application, you should look into it.

A screen recording would be really appreciated as I haven’t experienced this on my own so far.

I updated to 4.02 this morning, and now I also see these scrolling problems! Also triggered by mouse clicking at certain positions or by just using the down arrow repeatedly.

Did you change any settings while this document was visible/opened? Which version of macOS do you use?

I’m on MacOS 15.5. I may have checked and unchecked “Typewriter-like scrolling” because it looks like a problem with that. But that didn’t change anything. And I see the problem in both modes.

Here are my settings:

And is WYSIWYG editing en- or disabled, see Settings > Files > Markdown? But at least on the screenshot the document doesn’t seem to contain any links or images.

Settings are like this:

and there are no links in the text.

However: When I switch off “Syntax highlighting” scrolling is fine! If I switch it back on, problems are there again!

Please upload your problematic document.

Thanks!

I don’t see the issue here but this is a very strangely constructed document. It’s not a series of sentences made into paragraphs. It’s a series of paragraphs, from top to bottom…

sometimes this happens to me but it might not have to do with DEVONthink, most likely the document or Mac settings

I copied some pages from the Devonthink manual to prepare a test document. I just didn’t want to upload my original document.

Did you change settings (e.g. WYSIWYG, syntax colorizing, margins, fonts) while the editor was visible? That’s the only way I could reproduce this so far and the next release will fix this.
