MERGE, yes, but SPLIT ?

Presently fiddling with a trial version of DT (how do you say that in english : it grows on you ?).

Thanks to this forum, I have found the MERGE (“fusionner” in french) command : interesting and most certainly useful.

But I would be very interested by a SPLIT (“découper”) command : let’s say I find a very long text on the Web, a mixed bag of various subjects. The request would be - after importing it - to position Tags within the text and ask DT to split (or slice) the text according to these Tags (built-in command or Applescript).

Please excuse me if this has already been discussed
