I am trying to file an invoice with a receipt and wondered if there was a way when I dragged them into a folder that it could ask to automatically merge them… I saw this feature in another app I am testing called paperless

There is no smart rule action for merging files but it would be possible to use an Execute Script action for this.
Here is an example targeting a specific group in DEVONthink, merging if there is more than one document added, moving the original files to the database’s Trash, then moving the resulting file to the Inbox of the current database to keep from reprocessing the same file.
