Missing file management still not clear IMHO

I hoped that the management of missing files would be easier in DT 3, but this seems not to be the case.
If i repair a database and it keeps the error “18 files missing”, what is the recommand way to deal with, to log the missing file names easily, and to get rid of the problem? Thank you
