.mobi extension

Hi,

if I am not mistaken, my DT version states it does not recognize electronic books in .mobi extension “unknown format” which leads to db verification errors.

  • is this WAI?
  • if yes, if there a workaround to successfully finish verification in case of .mobi files

.mobi is not an indexed format in DEVONthink.
However, it doesn’t cause any verification errors here.

What are you seeing that leads you to this conclusion?

Not sure if that’s the case for .mobi files but for many third-party file formats Spotlight & QuickLook plug-ins are available on the internet. See e.g. http://www.quicklookplugins.com/

When running “verify and repair” on an indexed DB which has .mobi, DT3 log says “unknown format”.

but for many third-party file formats Spotlight & QuickLook plug-ins are available on the internet.

Got it. And yes, that happens on import as well since it’s not an indexable format.
