I’ve been trying to find a clear answer to this issue and for me at least, this is STILL an issue. Renaming and moving files only seems to work in the DevonThink environment and the changes are not made to the parent files.
I cant see an obvious way to make sure that the changes occur to the parent file(s) or am I missing something?
I suggest that you describe your problem a bit more detailed. I’m guessing (you don’t mention anything about it) that you are talking about indexed files. If so, it might be helpful to indicate where these files are residing (local, external disk, cloud). If not, you should be (a lot) more specific in your description of the problem.
