New folder appeared

I have recently noticed a mac type folder in my main document database.
It contains 1072 files the majority of which are blank, but which appear to be related to apps on my Mac

You’ve indexed the Documents folder to your database, e.g. via Cmd-Alt-drag & drop or via File > Index…

I do not want to index files in my database. I can only presume that I did this accidentally.I only require DT3 as a repository for my various documents & on reading other topics I am wary of the pitfalls of indexing. I do not need it.
Can I get rid of the indexing?

Delete the indexed group and empty the database’s Trash. When prompted, choose Only in Database.
