New note / text entry dialog needs to be much bigger

I can see the efficiency of the dialog that is displayed when I click on the “+” sign in DTG that allows one to create a new text note, new media, bookmark, tag, group, and database at will.

The disadvantage is that is is much too small for note taking. If I’m taking notes during a lecture (for example), there is no easy way to see all of the notes that I have taken because the text entry field is so small. Ideally, one should be able to use most of the screen for text entry.

Would this be possible?

The New Document Assistant is actually meant primarily for creating a new note. You can use it to create a new note, then continue to edit it in the main window, even with hiding the left-hand list.
